Trims, Powertrains, and Performance

The 2025 EX40 is a versatile five-passenger electric crossover that comes in three trim packages: Core, Plus, and Ultra. Buyers can choose between two advanced electric powertrains, either a single-motor rear-wheel drive (RWD) setup or a twin-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) configuration.

The single-motor EX40 RWD supplies an EPA-estimated 296 miles of range and produces 248 hp, making it a great fit for efficiency-focused drivers. For those seeking more traction and performance, the twin-motor AWD option boosts output to 402 hp with 260 miles of range. No matter which version you select, the ‘25 EX40 can tow up to 2,000 pounds, giving it extra utility for weekend getaways or hauling gear. When it's time to recharge, the ‘25 EX40 supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to go from 10 to 80 percent in approximately 28 minutes.
