2025 Volvo EX90

Volvo's sophisticated style and innovation shine through in the all-new 2025 EX90. Designed to seat six or seven passengers, this debuting electric crossover incorporates spaciousness, cutting-edge technology, and phenomenal performance. It’s built on Volvo's next-generation EV platform and offers up to 300 miles of range, plus a suite of safety and driver-assistance technologies. As part of the big shift toward electrification, the EX90 remains distinctly Volvo, retaining the clean, minimalist aesthetic that has long represented the brand's Scandinavian roots. The EX90 also offers added value with Complimentary Factory Scheduled Maintenance, covering the first two routine services (at 20,000 and 40,000 miles).

Trims, Powertrain, and Performance

The 2025 Volvo EX90 is offered in two well-stocked trim packages: Plus and Ultra. They both come with a Twin Motor all-wheel-drive system that generates 402 horsepower and 568 lb.-ft. of torque. For those seeking more power, the available Twin Motor Performance variant boosts output to 510 hp and 671 lb.-ft. of torque. Both powertrains feature a 111-kWh battery, providing up to 300 miles of range. Using a 250-kW DC fast charger, the EX90's battery can go from 10 to 80 percent in about 30 minutes, whereas a full charge using an 11-kW AC home charger takes approximately 10 hours.

Standard Features by Trim

The EX90 Plus is loaded with upscale features, including synthetic-leather upholstery, power-adjustable front seats with manual cushion extension and driver’s position memory, heated rear seats, a heated power tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, quad-zone automatic climate control, a head-up display, wireless phone charging, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 9-inch digital driver information display, ambient interior lighting, and six USB-C ports. Additional luxuries include a smartphone-based digital key, rain-sensing windshield wipers, a panoramic glass roof, LED headlights with integrated cleaners, roof rails, an auto-dimming driver’s-side mirror, a hands-free power liftgate, a front trunk compartment, and 20-inch wheels.

The Ultra enhances the EX90 experience with massaging front seats, power side bolsters, an adaptive air suspension, aerodynamic flush door handles, and 21-inch wheels. What’s more, both trims offer second-row captain’s chairs, increasing comfort for those passengers but reducing the seating capacity from seven to six.

Advanced Safety Equipment

Volvo's latest driver-assistance technologies come standard in the EX90. These include collision avoidance and mitigation, driver attention monitoring, automatic intersection braking, pedestrian and cyclist steering avoidance, and comprehensive exterior hazard sensors known as Safe Space Technology. Some of the other key safety features in this model include blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert with low-speed automatic braking, a surround-view camera with 3-D view, automatic parking assist, adaptive cruise control with Pilot Assist, road sign recognition, and road-keep assist.

Infotainment and Connectivity

At the heart of the EX90’s infotainment system is a frameless 14.5-inch touchscreen with built-in Google apps, including Google Assistant, Google Maps, and the Google Play Store. This system also features wireless Apple CarPlay, SiriusXM satellite radio, HD Radio, a 14-speaker Bose audio system, a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot, and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity. For audiophiles, the Ultra offers a higher-level 25-speaker Bowers &;amp Wilkins sound system.
