Core

The Core’s roof is adorned with cargo rails and a panoramic moonroof. It also has a power liftgate, keyless entry, fog lights, rain-sensing wipers, dual-zone automatic climate control, a tailored steering wheel and shift knob, power-adjustable front seats with driver’s position memory, and 18-inch wheels. Some other prominent features of its cabin are a 12-inch digital instrument cluster, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, ambient interior lighting, and a Google-based infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, a 10-speaker audio system, and Bluetooth hands-free.

Everyone knows that Volvo is dedicated to passenger safety, so it’s no surprise that the XC60 Core has plenty of driver-assist technologies installed. Those features consist of rear parking sensors, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, lane keeping assist, and oncoming lane mitigation, which will prevent the driver from crossing the center line while another vehicle approaches from the opposite direction.

Plus

This mid-grade trim is upgraded with leather upholstery, enhanced ambient interior lighting, power-folding rear head restraints, 19-inch wheels, and gloss-black exterior accents. It also builds up its safety tech suite with adaptive cruise control with Pilot Assist (which keeps you a safe distance from the leading vehicle) and a surround-view monitor.

Ultimate

At the height of the XC60’s trim range, the Ultimate really lives up to its name. This fully loaded version has two additional automatic climate zones, a head-up display, ventilated Nappa leather upholstery, an Orrefors crystal shift knob, a tailored dashboard, a premium Harman Kardon sound system with 14 speakers, 20-inch wheels, and a 12V cargo-area power outlet. On top of that, the driver’s seat has a power cushion extender and the front passenger’s seat is equipped with position memory. Both front seats are also bolstered (these are power-adjustable), heated, and cooled. As far as options, buyers can order the XC60 Ultimate with a 15-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a four-corner adaptive air suspension.
